A&M is a global consulting firm with over 10,000 professionals in 40 countries. We focus on helping private equity firms improve their portfolio company operations. This role involves leading commercial due diligence engagements.

About the role

Directors are the primary engagement owners. They lead CDDs end-to-end, manage clients day-to-day, and are accountable for insight quality, judgment calls, and delivery. They coach managers on judgment, synthesis, and leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Own the engagement from kickoff through final IC read-out
  • Frame diligence scope, hypotheses, and priority risks
  • Lead day-to-day client interaction with PE deal teams
  • Orchestrate Managers and workstreams into a cohesive storyline
  • Ensure outputs are investment-committee ready
  • Coach Managers on judgment, synthesis, and leadership

Qualifications

  • MBA from a top-tier business school
  • 8+ years of experience, including 2+ years in consulting or CDD
  • Deep understanding of PE decision-making and diligence dynamics
  • Strong executive presence and client credibility

Clients view the Director as the deal’s thought partner. Consistently delivers sharp, decisive commercial views. Builds repeat engagement momentum.

Pay

The salary range is $150,000-$225,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program based on individual and firm performance.
