Pediatric Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Role Overview This position involves collaborating with pediatric surgeons, anesthesiologists, and healthcare providers to deliver specialized anesthesia care tailored to pediatric patients. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive pre-anesthetic evaluations, assessing risks, discussing options with families, and developing personalized anesthesia plans. The role requires administering various anesthetic techniques such as general, regional, and local anesthesia, including spinal, epidural, and nerve blocks. The CRNA will induce and maintain anesthesia during diverse procedures, monitor patient responses, and adjust levels to ensure safety and comfort. Post-anesthesia care involves safe emergence and managing recovery. Emergency response skills are essential for airway management and resuscitation efforts during code situations. The role also emphasizes patient and family education on anesthesia and post-operative care, as well as collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure seamless perioperative care. Additionally, the position includes mentoring students and new staff. Qualifications And Skills Master’s degree in a related field (Doctorate preferred)Valid RN licensure and CRNA certificationCertifications in BLS, PALS, and ACLS0-2 years of relevant experience preferredStrong assessment, communication, and emergency response skills
