Pediatric Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

About the role

This position involves collaborating with pediatric surgeons, anesthesiologists, and healthcare providers to deliver specialized anesthesia care tailored to pediatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Conducting comprehensive pre-anesthetic evaluations
• Assessing risks
• Discussing options with families
• Developing personalized anesthesia plans
• Administering various anesthetic techniques such as general, regional, and local anesthesia, including spinal, epidural, and nerve blocks
• Inducing and maintaining anesthesia during diverse procedures
• Monitoring patient responses and adjusting levels to ensure safety and comfort
• Post-anesthesia care involving safe emergence and managing recovery
• Emergency response skills for airway management and resuscitation efforts during code situations
• Patient and family education on anesthesia and post-operative care
• Collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure seamless perioperative care
• Mentoring students and new staff

Qualifications and Skills

• Master’s degree in a related field (Doctorate preferred)
• Valid RN licensure and CRNA certification
• Certifications in BLS, PALS, and ACLS
• 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred
• Strong assessment, communication, and emergency response skills
