Certified Pediatric Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

This role involves collaborating with healthcare teams to assess, plan, and administer anesthesia tailored to pediatric patients' needs. Responsibilities include conducting pre-anesthetic evaluations, discussing options with families, and providing age-appropriate education and reassurance.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive pre-anesthetic assessments, review medical histories, and identify risks.
• Develop individualized anesthesia care plans, obtain informed consent, and assess anesthesia options.
• Administer various anesthetic techniques, including general, regional, local, and sedation, and perform nerve blocks.
• Induce and maintain anesthesia during diverse procedures, monitor patient responses, and adjust levels for safety and comfort.
• Manage post-anesthesia recovery, ensuring safe emergence and addressing post-operative needs.
• Respond to emergencies, including airway management and resuscitation efforts.
• Educate patients and families on the anesthesia process, risks, recovery, and pain management.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless perioperative care.
• Contribute to teaching and mentoring students, residents, or new staff.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required; Doctorate preferred.
• RN licensure, CRNA certification, and certifications in BLS, PALS, and ACLS are required.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
