About the role
This role involves collaborating with pediatric surgical and anesthesia teams to provide specialized anesthesia care for children.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive pre-anesthetic assessments and identify risks.
- Develop individualized anesthesia plans and obtain informed consent.
- Administer general, regional, local anesthesia, sedation, and nerve blocks.
- Monitor patient responses to ensure safety and comfort.
- Provide post-anesthesia care and manage emergencies.
- Support airway management and resuscitation efforts.
- Educate patients and families about anesthesia processes, risks, recovery, and pain management.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless perioperative care.
- Mentor students or new staff.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree (doctorate preferred).
- RN licensure.
- CRNA certification.
- Certifications in BLS, PALS, and ACLS.
