About the role
This role involves administering anesthetics to patients during surgical, obstetrical, and medical procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and testing anesthesia equipment, drugs, and supplies.
- Monitoring vital signs and patient condition throughout procedures.
- Positioning patients and explaining procedures to ensure understanding.
- Assisting in patient transfer and post-anesthesia recovery, managing adverse effects.
- Supervising and instructing student nurse anesthetists, residents, and students.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring equipment maintenance.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited MSN, DNP, or DNAP CNRA program.
- CRNA certification and current RN licensure with approval to practice as a CRNA.
- New graduates are encouraged to apply; no experience beyond education required.
