About the role

This role is for a Personal Care Aide responsible for providing basic personal and supportive care to clients in their homes.

Responsibilities

• Follow care plans to deliver individualized support.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, and ambulation.
• Prepare meals, including adherence to special diets.
• Use mobility aids such as walkers and wheelchairs as needed.
• Complete daily tasks via electronic visit verification (EVV) or time sheets.
• Promote client self-help and maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Assist with medication management only under supervision.
• Report any concerns about client safety, abuse, or neglect immediately.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (preferred).
• At least 6 months of validated caregiving experience.

Skills

• Adherence to safety and infection control procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to recognize client limitations.

Reporting and accountability

This position reports to the Home Care Manager and staffing supervisor, with accountability for delivering quality care within the scope of practice.
