About the role
Personal Care Aide responsible for providing in-home care to clients, following care plans, and supporting clients' self-help activities.
Responsibilities
- Follow client's aide plan tasks via app or in-home instructions.
- Complete daily tasks through EVV or electronic timesheets.
- Assist with basic personal care such as bathing, grooming, ambulating, feeding, oral hygiene, and using assistive devices.
- Ensure safety and infection control protocols are followed.
- Perform secondary duties like laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping, and meal prep (as needed).
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and report issues or changes in client condition.
- Respect client confidentiality, privacy, and rights.
- Provide quality care within scope, seeking guidance when needed.
- Assist with self-administration of medications, but do not administer medications directly.
- Report suspected abuse, neglect, unsafe environments, or privacy violations immediately.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma preferred; ability to read and write required.
- Minimum of 6 months caregiving experience, validated through references.
- Must be 18 years or older.
Accountability
Reports to Home Care Manager and Staffing Supervisor, ensuring adherence to policies and care standards.
