About the role
Personal Care Aide responsible for providing in-home client care, following care plans, and supporting clients' self-help activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist with personal hygiene (bathing, grooming, oral care)
- Provide mobility support
- Prepare meals, including special diets
- Perform light housekeeping tasks
- Maintain a safe, clean environment
- Complete daily tasks via EVV or electronic timesheets
- Adhere to safety and infection control protocols
- Respect client confidentiality and privacy
Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred
- At least 6 months of validated caregiving experience
- At least 18 years old
- Capable of reading and writing
Skills & Key Duties
- Follow client care plans accurately
- Assist with personal care and mobility using designated equipment
- Encourage client independence
- Monitor and report any changes in client condition or environment
- Administer medications only through self-administration support, not direct administration
- Maintain safety, infection control, and confidentiality standards
- Report abuse, neglect, or unsafe conditions immediately
All activities are supervised by the Home Care Manager or designated staff, ensuring quality care within scope of credentials.
