About the role
Personal Care Aide (PCA) responsible for providing in-home client support and assistance.
Responsibilities
- Follow client care plans and complete daily tasks via EVV or electronic timesheets.
- Assist with personal care such as bathing, grooming, ambulation, feeding, and using mobility equipment.
- Support clients' self-help efforts and maintain a safe, clean environment.
- Notify supervisors of any changes in client condition, safety concerns, or issues related to privacy and confidentiality.
- Provide secondary tasks like light housekeeping, grocery shopping, and meal preparation, respecting scope of practice.
- Adhere to safety, infection control, and universal precautions at all times.
- Assist with self-administration of medications (not direct administration) and respect client limitations and privacy.
Qualifications
- High School diploma preferred; ability to read and write required.
- At least 6 months of validated caregiving experience.
- Must be 18 years or older.
