About the role
Personal Care Aide providing in-home caregiving services, accountable to the Home Care Manager and staffing team.
Responsibilities
- Follow clients' aide plans and complete daily tasks via electronic systems.
- Encourage clients' self-help and assist with personal care such as bathing, grooming, ambulating, and meal preparation, including special diet needs.
- Utilize safety precautions, infection control, and proper equipment like walkers and wheelchairs.
- Perform secondary tasks like laundry, cleaning, and grocery shopping, while maintaining a clean, safe environment.
- Respect client confidentiality, privacy, and rights, and provide quality care within scope.
- Assist with medication self-administration and report any concerning changes or unsafe situations.
- Report suspected abuse, neglect, or environmental hazards immediately.
Qualifications and Skills
- High School diploma preferred, ability to read/write.
- Minimum 6 months caregiving experience validated through references.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Strong communication, attention to safety, and adherence to care plans.
Schedule
Work scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
