About the role
Personal Care Aide responsible for providing essential client care in a home setting.
Responsibilities
- Follow individualized care plans and complete daily tasks via EVV or electronic timesheets.
- Assist clients with self-help activities such as bathing, grooming, ambulating, and meal preparation, including special diet needs.
- Provide basic personal care and utilize equipment like walkers and wheelchairs while following safety and infection control protocols.
- Perform secondary tasks such as laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping, and meal prep, while maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Respect client confidentiality and privacy, and ensure quality care within scope of practice.
- Monitor client conditions, report any concerns or unusual changes to supervisors.
- Assist with self-administration of medications (without direct administration).
- Report suspected abuse, neglect, or unsafe conditions immediately.
Qualifications
- High School diploma preferred; ability to read and write required.
- Minimum of 6 months caregiving experience validated through references.
- Must be 18 years or older.
