About the role

Personal Care Aide responsible for delivering in-home care to clients, following individualized care plans, and ensuring safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, ambulating, and feeding, respecting client limitations and privacy.
• Provide basic assistance with special equipment like walkers and wheelchairs.
• Encourage clients to maintain self-help skills and promote independence.
• Complete daily tasks via EVV or electronic timesheets, and document care activities accurately.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment; notify supervisors of safety concerns or changes in client condition.
• Adhere to infection control, universal precautions, and confidentiality protocols.
• Support secondary tasks such as light housekeeping, laundry, and grocery shopping as needed.
• Only assist with medication self-administration and do not administer medications directly.
• Report suspected abuse, neglect, or unsafe conditions immediately.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; ability to read and write required.
• Minimum of 6 months caregiving experience validated through references.
• Must be 18 years or older.
