About the role
Provide client-focused personal care services in home settings, following individualized care plans and ensuring safety and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Follow care plans and complete daily tasks via EVV or electronic timesheets.
- Assist clients with self-help activities, including bathing, grooming, ambulation, and meal preparation, respecting special diet needs.
- Provide basic personal care, utilizing assistive equipment like walkers and wheelchairs.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
- Support clients with secondary tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and grocery shopping.
- Monitor clients’ conditions, reporting any concerns or changes to management promptly.
- Respect client privacy, confidentiality, and rights, while only performing tasks within scope and outlined in care plans.
- Assist with medication self-administration (not direct administration) and ensure safety precautions.
- Report abuse, neglect, or unsafe conditions immediately.
Qualifications & Skills
- High School diploma preferred; ability to read and write required.
- At least 6 months of validated caregiving experience.
- Must be 18+ years old.
- Strong communication, adherence to protocols, and compassionate attitude essential.
