Payroll and Personnel Analyst
About the role
The Payroll and Personnel Analyst will work with a wide range of employees (e.g., faculty, staff, and students) and ensure accurate data entry and handling of information related to the requests for payroll and personnel services. This position will be responsible for providing project management support to create, organize and execute payroll related requests. The incumbent will be responsible for timely and accurate review, preparation, processing, and auditing of payroll, personnel, and financial transactions, and will utilize data and analytics to complete audits and identify trends in delayed/inaccurate processing.
Responsibilities
- Work with a wide range of employees (e.g., faculty, staff, and students) and ensure accurate data entry and handling of information related to the requests for payroll and personnel services.
- Provide project management support to create, organize and execute payroll related requests.
- Be responsible for timely and accurate review, preparation, processing, and auditing of payroll, personnel, and financial transactions.
- Utilize data and analytics to complete audits and identify trends in delayed/inaccurate processing.
- Possess the ability to partner with the other members of the LEAP team, other Payroll Shared Service Centers, and various stakeholders to identify opportunities to continuously improve the effectiveness, accuracy, and delivery of services.
Requirements
Required Experience Requirements:
- Experience 2 - 4 years of related experience.
- Personal and/or professional experience and record of commitment to serving racially diverse communities.
- Desire to work alongside faculty, students, staff, and administrators with a commitment to an equity-oriented mission as a landgrant university on Tribal lands designated as a Hispanic Serving, Minority Serving, and Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institution.
- Working knowledge of many payroll processes, policies, and procedures; knowledge of organization-specific computer application programs.
- Problem solving, problem identification and reasoning skills.
- Working knowledge of organizational processes, procedures, and understands organizational rules and regulations.
- Demonstrated judgment and decision-making skills; verbal, written and active listening communication skills.
- Uses interpersonal skills and service orientation skills in interactions with customers and colleagues.
- Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
- Intermediate mathematical skills.
Qualifications
Education Requirements:
- Degree Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
Benefits
Hybrid work is available. The full salary range for the Payroll and Personnel Analyst is $57,691.44 - $99,305.28 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $70,000 annually.
