Patient Service Specialist
Compensation depends upon candidate’s years of experience and internal equity. Starting salary: $18 - $25 per hour based off experience.
Responsibilities
- Provides outstanding customer service and gets things done.
- Processes referrals, schedules patients, completes the intake process, performs data entry, insures verification, authorizations, reviews of benefits with patients, collects copays, arrives and schedules patients, bills reports, closes reports and other tasks as needed.
- Greets patients.
- Answers phones.
- Performs patient intake and data entry.
- Performs insurance verification and pre-authorization.
- Schedules patient appointments.
- Operates front office of outpatient centers.
- Supports therapists and therapy assistants.
- Daily cash balancing and weekly banking deposits.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Preferred: Customer service experience, knowledge of insurance verification, healthcare, medical, or dental office administration.
