Position Title Patient Scheduling Description As a Patient Scheduling Coordinator in our healthcare facility, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth and efficient operations. Your primary responsibility will be to manage and coordinate patient appointments, utilizing both our electronic scheduling system and direct patient interaction. You will serve as a crucial link between patients, healthcare providers, and administrative staff, ensuring that appointments are scheduled promptly and accurately. Additionally, you will contribute to maintaining an organized and patient-centric environment, reflecting our commitment to providing high-quality healthcare services. Responsibilities Schedule patient appointments via phone, email, and in-person interactions.Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure availability and allocate appropriate time slots for different types of appointments.Verify patient information and insurance details to ensure accuracy in scheduling.Reschedule appointments as necessary, accommodating urgent or emergent cases.Collaborate with the billing and insurance departments to confirm coverage and co-pays. Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic scheduling records.Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient inquiries and concerns regarding appointments.Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; additional relevant education is a plus.Previous experience in a healthcare setting or customer service role preferred.Proficient in using electronic scheduling systems and basic computer applications.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient interactions.
