Position Title

Patient Scheduling

Responsibilities

  • Schedule patient appointments via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
  • Cookordinate with healthcare providers to ensure availability and allocate appropriate time slots for different types of appointments.
  • Verify patient information and insurance details to ensure accuracy in scheduling.
  • Reschedule appointments as necessary, accommodating urgent or emergent cases.
  • Collaborate with the billing and insurance departments to confirm coverage and co-pays.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic scheduling records.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient inquiries and concerns regarding appointments.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; additional relevant education is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting or customer service role preferred.
  • Proficient in using electronic scheduling systems and basic computer applications.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach to patient interactions.
