About the role
Providence is calling for Patient Financial Counselor - Financial Counseling - Full time, Day, Onsite.
Responsibilities
- Ease the way in resolution of patient accounts through financial clearance, payment collection, obtaining sponsorship, and financial assistance.
- Identify eligibility, provide education, and complete and submit applications for various State and Federal sponsorship programs.
- Aid patients in making eligibility determinations for Providence St. Joseph Health Financial Assistance.
Requirements
- H.S. Diploma or GED.
- 2 years' experience in a hospital, clinic, or healthcare business office.
- 3 years' experience or proven success as a Patient Financial Advocate Associate, preferably with Providence St. Joseph Health or its Affiliates.
- 2 years' experience in automated, computerized account follow-up system, preferably in Epic.
Qualifications
- Required Qualifications: H.S. Pay
The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
