About the role
Cogent Biosciences is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our dynamic team. This position will contribute to the development and advancement of precision therapies for genetically defined diseases, particularly focusing on the KIT D816V mutation and related cancers.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the research and development of novel targeted therapies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance drug candidates through preclinical and clinical phases
- Support the analysis and interpretation of data from preclinical and clinical studies
- Participate in scientific meetings and presentations to share findings and collaborate with peers
Requirements
- A PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field
- Experience in drug discovery and development, preferably in oncology or hematological malignancies
- Strong background in molecular biology techniques, including cell culture, gene editing, and protein expression
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
Qualifications
- Track record of success in academic or industry settings
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of regulatory guidelines and good laboratory practices
Skills
- Expertise in molecular biology and biochemistry
- Experience with genomics and proteomics technologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay
Salary range: $100,000 - $150,000 annually, depending on experience
Schedule
Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM
