About the role
Cogent Biosciences is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our dynamic team. This position will be responsible for advancing our pipeline of precision therapies and contributing to the development of novel targeted therapies.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the research and development of novel targeted therapies for genetically driven diseases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including scientists, engineers, and clinicians to advance drug candidates through preclinical and clinical stages.
- Perform laboratory experiments and analyze data to support the discovery and optimization of therapeutic compounds.
- Prepare and present scientific reports and proposals to stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners.
Requirements
- A PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or a related field with significant postdoctoral experience.
- Experience in drug discovery and development, particularly in the areas of tyrosine kinase inhibitors and targeted therapies.
- Strong background in molecular biology, cell biology, and biochemistry.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- Proven track record of success in academic or industry settings.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
