About the role

Cogent Biosciences is seeking a talented individual to join our dynamic team. This position will contribute to the development of precision therapies for genetically defined diseases, particularly focusing on the advancement of bezuclastinib, a selective tyrosine kinase inhibitor targeting the KIT D816V mutation.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the research and development of novel targeted therapies for genetically driven diseases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance clinical programs and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation of results.
  • Write and review scientific manuscripts and grant proposals.

Requirements

  • A PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant research experience in drug discovery or biotechnology.
  • Experience with molecular biology techniques, including PCR, cloning, and protein expression.
  • Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of kinase inhibitors and their mechanisms of action.
  • Experience with KIT D816V and related mutations.
  • Understanding of oncology and hematological disorders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
