About the role

Cogent Biosciences is seeking a talented individual to join our dynamic team. This position will contribute to the development and advancement of precision therapies for genetically defined diseases.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the research and development of novel targeted therapies targeting mutations in ErbB2, PI3Kα, KRAS, and JAK2.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute experiments aimed at understanding the biology of genetically defined diseases.
  • Support the analysis and interpretation of data generated from preclinical studies and clinical trials.
  • Prepare and present scientific findings at internal meetings and external conferences.

Requirements

  • A PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
  • Experience in drug discovery and development, preferably in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong background in molecular biology, genetics, and cell biology.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of success in academic or industrial settings.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory guidelines and standards.

Skills

  • Proficiency in laboratory techniques including but not limited to PCR, Western Blotting, and CRISPR/Cas9.
  • Experience with bioinformatics tools and databases.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
