Patient Advocate (Bilingual Spanish/English)- Plaza del Sol
Patient Advocate (Bilingual English/Spanish) stationed at Plaza del Sol Health Center in Corona, Queens, serving as a resource for patients to enhance service quality and provide a welcoming environment while supporting patient navigation.
Responsibilities
- Greet all patients and visitors to support their visit and identify the purpose of their arrival.
- Direct patients to the waiting area and manage sign-in logs.
- Maintain the lobby area in a clean, orderly, and safe environment.
- Verify patient demographic information and insurances using electronic health records.
- Provide general information regarding services and resources.
- Gather patient feedback and report to managers to optimize patient satisfaction.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English), required.
- Entry-level position; general computer skills required.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills (verbal and written).
Schedule
40 hours per week: Monday through Thursday 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Saturday 7:00 AM – 1:30 PM. Days off are Fridays and Sundays.
Pay
$18.00 per hour.
