About the role
We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for home care services, providing direct patient care in clients' residences.
Responsibilities
- Providing personal hygiene care such as bathing, grooming, and mouth care
- Assisting with transfers, repositioning, and ambulation
- Administering basic nursing care and prescribed exercises under supervision
- Preparing meals considering client preferences and dietary needs
- Offering companionship and engaging in activities tailored to individual interests
- Performing light housekeeping duties
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting changes in patients' conditions
- Completing tasks via EVV app or time sheet, demonstrating dependability
- Supporting client independence within their abilities
- Upholding patient confidentiality, privacy, and rights
- Reporting any abuse, neglect, or unsafe environments immediately
Qualifications
- Current certification with DFS
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Effective communication skills, ability to read, write, and follow directions
- Physical capability to perform tasks like lifting and standing
- Sympathetic attitude towards patient care
Additional details
The role involves travel within a designated area, with physical demands including lifting approximately 50 lbs. The CNA collaborates within a team to ensure high-quality care, adhering to the care plan and policies.
