About the role
Seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for home care services, primarily on weekends from 08:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The role involves providing direct patient care in clients' residences.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with personal hygiene (bathing, grooming, mouth care)
- Helping with transfers, repositioning, and ambulation
- Administering basic nursing care and prescribed exercises under supervision
- Preparing meals considering dietary needs
- Offering companionship and engaging activities
- Performing light housekeeping
- Recording care activities accurately
- Monitoring and reporting changes in clients' conditions
- Adhering to the established care plan and confidentiality policies
- Following all policies, including privacy and safety protocols
- Never administering medications without proper authorization
Qualifications
- Current certification with DFS
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and standing
- A compassionate attitude toward patient care
- Dependability and adaptability to different client needs
- Ability to work within diverse environments
- Travel within the designated area is necessary
- Physical demands include lifting approximately 50 lbs
