About the role
Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) providing home care services in patients' residences.
Responsibilities
- Delivering direct patient care, including personal hygiene, bathing, grooming, and assisting with transfers and ambulation.
- Administering basic nursing care and prescribed exercises under supervision.
- Preparing meals aligned with client preferences and dietary needs.
- Offering companionship and engaging in activities tailored to individual interests.
- Performing light housekeeping duties and maintaining accurate records.
- Monitoring and reporting changes in clients' physical or psychosocial conditions.
- Following the care plan and completing tasks via EVV app or time sheets.
- Upholding patient confidentiality, respecting patient rights, and notifying supervisors of concerns or suspected abuse.
- Supporting client independence within their abilities and adhering to the Plan of Care—medication administration is not permitted.
Qualifications
- Current certification with DFS.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, and standing.
- Compassionate attitude towards sick individuals.
