Part-Time Weekend CNA

Responsibilities

• Providing direct patient care, including personal hygiene, mobility assistance, and basic nursing tasks as directed by supervising healthcare professionals.
• Assisting with transfers, repositioning, and ambulation.
• Preparing meals based on client preferences and dietary needs.
• Offering companionship and engaging in activities tailored to individual interests.
• Performing light housekeeping duties and maintaining accurate records of patient care and condition changes.
• Adhering to the Plan of Care, documenting tasks via EVV app or time sheet, and reporting any concerns or changes promptly.
• Ensuring patient confidentiality, respecting patient rights, and notifying supervisors of any abuse or neglect suspicions.
• Using equipment like blood pressure cuffs and stethoscopes as needed, and assisting within the scope of physical capabilities, including lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Maintaining certification with DFS.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to read, write, and follow instructions.
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting and bending.
• A compassionate attitude toward patient care.
• Dependability, adaptability to client needs, and a team-oriented approach to ensure high-quality care in various home environments.
