About the Role
A Phlebotomist III Float provides diverse and dynamic phlebotomy services across multiple patient centers and locations, offering flexibility and variety in daily tasks.
Responsibilities
- Perform blood draws and prepare specimens for lab testing according to established procedures.
- Cover designated territories within Patient Service Centers, healthcare offices, or as needed.
- Collect various specimens, including drug screens and biometric exams.
- Enter billing information and handle payment collection when required.
- Mentor and support new staff, serve as a resource, and communicate regularly with supervisors.
- Travel between sites as necessary.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in certain states.
- Minimum five years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Preferably three years in a Patient Service Center setting.
- Customer service experience and data entry skills.
- Effective communication in English.
Pay
Competitive pay rate starting at $22.38+ per hour.
