About the role

As a Phlebotomist, you will perform blood collections, provide exceptional customer service, and represent Labcorp in Patient Service Centers or Client offices. This role offers opportunities for continuous growth within the organization and may include eligibility for a quarterly performance-based bonus through the PST Incentive Plan.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM, with rotating Saturdays.

Responsibilities

  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other diagnostic needs.
  • Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information.
  • Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
  • Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients.
  • Handle administrative and clerical duties as needed.
  • Travel to additional sites when required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
  • Phlebotomy certification, completed training program, or 3+ months of experience as a phlebotomist.
  • In lieu of work experience, certification or training must come from an accredited agency.
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year of phlebotomy experience.
