Part Time Patient Access Registration Representative

About the role

We are seeking a Patient Access Registration Representative to support patient care through reception, scheduling, insurance verification, and payment processing in hospital and medical group departments.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and patients, providing excellent customer service
• Enter and update patient demographic and financial information for registration
• Obtain necessary forms, confirm signatures, and process documents
• Communicate financial responsibilities, collect liabilities, and balance cash daily
• Collaborate with departments to ensure complete patient encounters
• Provide directions and hospital information as needed
• Manage admission needs, bed assignments, and tracking boards
• Maintain audit accuracy, work error reports, and seek assistance proactively

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 6+ months of customer service experience in healthcare or office setting
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Ability to work rotating schedules
• Must be 18 or older

Preferred Skills

• Experience with electronic medical records
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Experience in hospital or medical office admitting/registration
