About the role
Join a healthcare support team responsible for patient registration and customer service.
Primary Duties
- Greeting and welcoming patients in person
- Collecting demographic and insurance information
- Checking in patients, completing paperwork, and directing them to appointments
- Verifying insurance eligibility and benefits, explaining costs, and collecting co-pays or deductibles
- Screening and assisting patients with financial assistance applications
- Resolving registration issues and documenting interactions in electronic medical records
- Providing inbound and outbound customer service and mentoring staff as needed
Qualifications Required
- At least 6 months of customer service experience in an office or hospital setting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including overnight hours
- Must be 18 years or older
Preferred Skills
- Experience with revenue cycle management
- General office experience and Epic systems familiarity
Physical Demands
- Walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 10 lbs. occasionally

- Compensation ranges from $16.00 to $29.00 per hour
