Role Overview
Responsible for greeting patients, collecting demographic and insurance information, and entering data into electronic medical records.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming patients and guiding them to appointments
- Completing registration, verifying insurance, and resolving billing issues
- Explaining financial assistance options and assisting with applications
- Documenting issues and providing customer service via phone
- Mentoring staff and performing other duties as needed
Qualifications & Skills
- 2+ years customer service experience in healthcare or related fields
- 6+ months revenue cycle experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic medical records (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work weekdays and weekends, with physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 10 lbs.
Pay
Compensation ranges from $18.00 to $32.00 hourly, with a $750 sign-on bonus for external candidates.
