Part-Time LPN Medication Nurse

About the role

As an LPN Medication Nurse, you will provide licensed nursing support by safely administering medications, monitoring residents' health, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation. This role is vital in preventing medication errors, early detection of health changes, and safeguarding resident safety through clinical precision and adherence to regulations.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration
• Accurately document in MAR/TAR in real time
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications for relief
• Report refusals or adverse reactions promptly
• Conduct Service & Health Updates (SHUs)
• Transcribe physician orders and support care plan updates
• Observe and report physical, emotional, or cognitive changes
• Maintain medication carts, complete narcotic counts, and ensure compliance standards

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in good standing
• CPR and First Aid certification

Skills

• Strong assessment and documentation skills
• Experience in senior care or medication administration preferred
