Part-Time LPN Medication Nurse

About the role

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Medication Nurse provides essential nursing support in senior care settings, focusing on safe medication administration, health monitoring, and accurate clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments following physician orders
• Ensure adherence to the Six Rights of Medication Administration
• Accurately document in MAR/TAR in real time
• Monitor symptoms, report adverse reactions, and document changes
• Conduct Service & Health Updates (SHUs) and transcribe physician orders
• Maintain medication carts, perform narcotic counts, and ensure compliance
• Observe and report physical, emotional, or cognitive changes in residents

Qualifications & Skills

• Active LPN license in good standing
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Strong assessment and documentation skills
• Experience in senior care or medication administration preferred
