Part-Time Freight Handler

Position Overview: This role involves transporting freight within a dock environment, using motorized and manual equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to load and unload trailers. Responsibilities Include Handling freight safely and verifying documentation for accuracy.Securing freight inside trailers with appropriate tools.Recouping or repairing damaged freight when needed.Completing required reports and assisting customers with freight documentation.Performing hostling duties if required and ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent preferred; must be at least 18 years old.Experience in warehousing, freight handling, or forklift operation preferred.Basic math, communication skills, and physical ability to lift and move freight regularly.Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced, potentially outdoor environment. Working Conditions: Exposure to weather, fumes, noise, and dust; environment requires physical activity like bending, twisting, and pushing freight. Flexibility in hours is necessary to meet operational needs.
