Part Time - Freight Handler

About the role

Transport freight within a dock area by utilizing motorized and manual equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. Verify freight documentation for accuracy, secure cargo inside trailers, and handle damaged freight as needed. Assist with freight documentation, perform hostling duties if required, and ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies. Collaborate with team members and provide customer assistance when necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Experience in warehousing, freight handling, or forklift operations preferred
• Ability to perform basic math, lift heavy freight, and operate in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
