Part Time - Freight Handler

Position Overview Transport freight within dock areas to/from trailers for loading and unloading, ensuring efficient handling and securing of goods. Key Responsibilities Operate motorized and manual equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.Verify freight documentation for accuracy, including type, weight, and hazardous materials.Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps, and ropes.Address damaged freight through recouping or repairs.Complete required reports and assist with freight documentation.Support customers with freight-related needs and perform hostling duties if necessary.Adhere to legal, safety, and company policies. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Must be at least 18 years old.Experience in warehousing, freight handling, or forklift operation preferred.Basic math, communication skills, and ability to lift heavy freight.Ability to work independently or in a team, with physical capability to perform manual tasks. Work Environment: Dock setting with exposure to weather, fumes, dust, noise, and a fast-paced, deadline-driven atmosphere.
