Part Time - Freight Handler

Role Overview This position involves transporting freight within the dock area, loading and unloading trailers, and ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo. Responsibilities include operating equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, verifying freight documentation, and repairing damaged items when needed. Additional duties encompass assisting with freight documentation, supporting customers, performing hostling tasks if required, and complying with all safety and regulatory standards. The role requires physical activity, including lifting and maneuvering freight and trailer doors, often multiple times daily. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Must be at least 18 years old.Experience in warehousing, freight handling, or forklift operation preferred.Ability to perform basic math, lift heavy loads, and work independently or collaboratively.Basic communication skills and physical capability to bend, lift, and push freight. Working Conditions Work is performed in a dock environment with exposure to weather, fumes, dust, noise, and fast-paced deadlines. Flexibility in hours is required based on operational needs.
