Part Time - Freight Handler

Position Overview: Transport freight within the dock area to and from trailers for loading and unloading. Essential Duties Handle freight using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.Verify freight documentation for accuracy, including type, weight, and hazardous materials.Secure freight inside trailers with appropriate tools and supplies.Recoup or repair damaged freight as needed.Complete required documentation and reports.Assist customers with freight and documentation.Perform hostling duties if required.Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies.Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Must be at least 18 years old.Experience in warehousing, freight handling, or forklift operation preferred.Ability to perform basic math, lift and carry freight, and open trailer doors.Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.Previous dock or warehouse experience preferred. Working Conditions: Dock environment with exposure to weather, fumes, dust, and noise. Fast-paced, deadline-driven setting requiring frequent contact with personnel.
