Part Time - Deli Lead

About the role

Lead daily department operations in a retail store, ensuring proper staffing, training, and adherence to company standards to meet key performance indicators.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory, including ordering, stock rotation, and quality control.
• Validate received products for quality, condition, and accuracy; ensure proper storage.
• Supervise team tasks such as stocking, production, and product handling, including spoilage management.
• Maintain product knowledge and stay informed about sales promotions and special offers.
• Implement and communicate sales plans, manage scheduling, and support labor and payroll control.
• Support staffing, training, performance management, and goal development for team members.
• Ensure a clean, attractive, and well-stocked department following safety, food safety, and cleaning guidelines.
• Participate in meetings, support company initiatives, and adapt tasks based on customer needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; retail experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally; stand and walk for extended periods.
• Physical demands are typical of retail environments, with accommodations available for disabilities.
• Travel varies as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of retail operations and management systems; proficiency in MS Office tools.
• Good strategic planning, problem-solving, and conflict management abilities.

Skills
