The Weekend Controls Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining production equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and PLC-controlled systems. They analyze equipment performance, identify hazards or issues, and execute repairs or programming updates to enhance reliability. Proficiency in ladder logic programming on the Allen Bradley platform (RS Logix 500/5000), along with experience in troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components, is essential. Key duties include documenting repairs via work order systems, managing program backups, evaluating new equipment, and setting up servo controls and variable frequency drives. The role requires collaboration with maintenance teams and the Custom Equipment Process Group for machine improvements. Qualifications include at least 2 years of related experience, an associate’s degree in a technical field (preferred), and the ability to operate tools such as digital multimeters. Additional skills include enterprise asset management software proficiency, basic motor troubleshooting, and the ability to obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses. Work schedule is Friday to Sunday, 6:00am-6:00pm, with training on day shifts prior to evening shifts.
