Part-Time Controls Technician

About the role

The Weekend Controls Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, and PLC-controlled production equipment in an air-conditioned facility. They analyze equipment performance, detect hazards, and perform repairs or programming changes to ensure production reliability.

Responsibilities

• Use ladder logic programming on Allen Bradley platforms (RS Logix 500/5000)
• Document maintenance activities via the work order system (EAM)
• Troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic components
• Maintain program backups and evaluate new equipment
• Set up servo controls and variable frequency drives
• Assist with electrical troubleshooting across the plant
• Document equipment parameters
• Collaborate with maintenance and process groups for improvements
• Utilize tools like digital multimeters

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience
• Associate's degree in a technical field preferred
• Ability to obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses
• Proficiency with Enterprise Asset Management software and Microsoft Office

Schedule

Friday-Sunday, 6:00am-6:00pm, with training on day shifts before transitioning to evening shifts.
