The Weekend Controls Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, and PLC-controlled production equipment in an air-conditioned facility. They analyze equipment performance, detect hazards, and perform repairs or programming changes to ensure production reliability. Key duties include using ladder logic programming on Allen Bradley platforms (RS Logix 500/5000), documenting maintenance activities via the work order system (EAM), and troubleshooting electrical and pneumatic components. The role involves maintaining program backups, evaluating new equipment, setting up servo controls and variable frequency drives, and assisting with electrical troubleshooting across the plant. The technician documents equipment parameters, collaborates with maintenance and process groups for improvements, and utilizes tools like digital multimeters. Qualifications 2+ years of related experience Associate’s degree in a technical field preferred Ability to obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses Proficiency with Enterprise Asset Management software and Microsoft Office Skills: Troubleshooting electrical/mechanical systems, PLC programming, use of digital multimeters, basic motor controls, and documentation. The role requires working Friday-Sunday, 6:00am-6:00pm, with training on day shifts before transitioning to evening shifts.
