About the role
The Weekend Controls Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining production machinery, focusing on electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems. They analyze equipment performance, identify hazards, and perform repairs or programming updates to ensure production reliability.
Responsibilities
- Read ladder logic, particularly Allen Bradley RS Logix 500/5000
- Document repairs in work order systems
- Troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic components
- Maintain program backups
- Work with servo controls, variable frequency drives, and motors
- Collaborate with maintenance and process teams on machine improvements
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of related experience
- Associate's degree in a technical field (preferred)
- Ability to obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses
- Proficiency in enterprise asset management software and Microsoft Office
Skills
- Using digital multimeters
- Troubleshooting electrical and PLC systems
- Documenting equipment parameters accurately
Schedule
Friday to Sunday, 6:00am – 6:00pm, with training on day shifts before transitioning to evening shifts.
