About the role
The Weekend Controls Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining production machinery, focusing on electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems. They analyze equipment performance, identify hazards, and perform repairs, including programming changes using ladder logic on Allen Bradley platforms such as RS Logix 500 and 5000.
Responsibilities
- Documenting repairs via work order systems
- Troubleshooting electrical and pneumatic components
- Maintaining program backups
- Evaluating new equipment
- Setting up and troubleshooting servo controls, variable frequency drives, and motors
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve machinery
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of relevant experience
- Associate's degree in a technical field preferred
- Proficiency with enterprise asset management software and Microsoft Office
- Must obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses
- Skilled with digital multimeters
