The Weekend Controls Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical issues on production equipment, including PLC controls, pneumatic, hydraulic, and motor systems. They analyze equipment performance, perform preventive maintenance, and maintain backups of control programs. The role involves collaborating with maintenance and technical teams, documenting repairs, and evaluating new equipment performance. Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems on production equipment
- Performing preventive maintenance
- Maintaining backups of control programs
- Programming backups
- Supporting machine improvements
- Documenting repairs and parameters
- Collaborating with maintenance and technical teams
- Evaluating new equipment performance
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of relevant experience
- Associate's degree in a technical field (preferred)
- Ability to obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses
- Strong knowledge of Enterprise Asset Management software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Skills
- Proficiency in ladder logic programming (Allen Bradley RS Logix 500/5000)
- Digital multimeter use
- Basic servo and VFD setup
