The Weekend Controls Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, and PLC-controlled production equipment to ensure operational reliability. Key Duties Include Monitoring equipment to identify hazards and performance issues, performing repairs, and implementing improvements.Proficiently using ladder logic programming, especially on the Allen Bradley platform (RS Logix 500 and 5000).Documenting repairs and preventive maintenance using enterprise asset management systems.Tracing issues with electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic components.Maintaining backups of control programs and evaluating new equipment under operational conditions.Setting up and troubleshooting servo controls, variable frequency drives, and motors such as servo, DC, and induction motors.Collaborating with maintenance and process teams on machine enhancements.Utilizing digital multimeters and assisting with electrical troubleshooting across the plant.Documenting equipment set-points and parameters accurately. Qualifications include a minimum of 2 years’ related experience, preferably an associate’s degree in a technical field, and the ability to obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses. Proficiency with enterprise asset management software and Microsoft Office is required. Skills needed: strong troubleshooting, PLC programming, electrical and mechanical knowledge, and teamwork in a manufacturing environment.
