About the role
The Weekend Controls Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical issues on production machinery, including PLC controls. They analyze equipment performance, perform repairs, and implement programming changes to enhance production reliability.
Responsibilities
- Observe equipment for hazards
- Use ladder logic programming on Allen Bradley platforms (RS Logix 500/5000)
- Document maintenance activities
- Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components
- Work with servo controls, variable frequency drives, and motors
- Maintain program backups
- Collaborate with maintenance teams and the Custom Equipment Process Group (CEPG) for machine improvements
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of related experience
- Proficiency with enterprise asset management software
- Basic skills in using digital multimeters
- Associate's degree in a technical field (preferred)
- Ability to obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses
