The Weekend Controls Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining production equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems, to ensure operational reliability. Key duties include analyzing equipment performance, diagnosing issues using electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components, and performing repairs or programming changes. Proficiency in ladder logic programming, particularly on the Allen Bradley platform (RS Logix 500 and 5000), is essential. The technician will work with work order systems (EAM), document repairs, maintain program backups, and evaluate new equipment performance. Skills in basic servo control, variable frequency drives, and motor troubleshooting are required. The role involves close collaboration with maintenance and process groups to improve machinery. Qualifications include at least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably an associate’s degree in a technical field, and the ability to operate digital multimeters. Certifications for forklift and aerial platforms are necessary. Familiarity with enterprise asset management software and Microsoft Office is preferred. Work hours are Friday to Sunday from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, with initial training on day shifts.
