The Weekend Controls Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and PLC-controlled systems. They analyze equipment performance, identify hazards, and perform repairs using ladder logic programming on Allen Bradley platforms such as RS Logix 500 and 5000. The role involves documenting repairs via enterprise asset management systems, testing new equipment, and ensuring optimal system performance. Skills include basic servo controls, variable frequency drives, motor troubleshooting, and using digital multimeters. The technician collaborates with maintenance and process teams to improve machinery and maintains program backups. Qualifications include at least 2 years of related experience, an associate’s degree in a technical field (preferred), and the ability to obtain forklift and aerial lift licenses. Proficiency in asset management software and Microsoft Office is required. Key duties encompass equipment observation, troubleshooting, documentation, and supporting PLC and electrical systems to enhance production reliability.
