Part-Time Controls Technician

The Weekend Controls Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining production equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems, to ensure operational reliability. Core duties include diagnosing issues with electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components, performing repairs, and making programming adjustments using ladder logic on Allen Bradley platforms (RS Logix 500/5000). The role involves documenting repairs via work order systems, backing up PLC programs, evaluating new equipment under actual conditions, and setting up servo controls and variable frequency drives. The technician collaborates with maintenance and process teams for machine improvements, assists with troubleshooting electrical problems, and maintains accurate equipment parameters. Qualifications: At least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably an associate’s degree in a technical field, proficiency with Enterprise Asset Management software, and the ability to operate digital multimeters. Must obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses. Skills: Troubleshooting electrical/mechanical systems, PLC programming, knowledge of servo and motor operations, and effective documentation. Schedule: Works Friday to Sunday, 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, with initial training on day shifts.
